2016 has been quite the year for me, art wise. It was honestly a struggle to find enough artwork to fill every month, and considering half of these are sketches that definitely means I need to draw more regularly (though it didn't help I seemed to have like 3 works in one month and then take months off). I started off the year with a mission to draw/post more than in 2015, and even though I did fulfill that I also developed some major art anxiety along the way. It wasn't until September that I finally felt like I knew what I was doing while drawing and a general idea of where I wanted to go, but I still felt some major anxiety towards the idea of drawing.
So while my new year's resolution is to draw more, I also want to reclaim the love I felt towards drawing and stop being so hard on myself. Pretty much, become a more positive person.

Here's to a better 2017!

I fully plan on finishing those sketches seen in April and May by the way, so be on the lookout for those. Despite not drawing as much as a should have, I do feel like I grew a lot this year! Just comparing my December sketch to my June one, I think I'm starting to see some good improvement.
